Sunday was another BEAUTIFUL day for a show at the Cuthbert.
BLK JKS were good. It seemed like it took them a minute to warm up but they had a great vibe going after a couple of songs. I wish they could’ve played longer.
Santi was fanfreakintastic. It’s no secret that I was hype to see her play. She opened with tumbleweeds and Major Lazer‘s “Hold the Line” and blazed through the majority of her solo album. She also managed to work in “Get It Up” (from Top Ranking), a song from her old punk band Stiffed, AND sang “Happy Birthday” to one of her “Creator” dancers.
Sadly, no Spearhead or SOJA pics. My lil girl and I were running around the place doing laps during SOJA … which put her on the verge of passing out right before Franti came on. So we had to split. We were walking out of the gates as he was walking on stage. I didn’t even get to hear one “HOW YOU FEEEEEELIN?!” How sad is that? ; )
